My girls and I visit the library once a week and come home with 20-30 books each time. Visiting the library is always a fun outing for all of us. It’s even more fun to come home with a fresh pile of books to read together. Reading is so good for babies, toddlers and kids! Since Valentine’s day is around the corner I wanted to find Valentine’s day books for toddlers. I did find some and am here to share them with you today. My daughter is three years old and she loves all of these books including the longer length book Mouse and Mole: Secret Valentine.

Click, Clack, Moo I Love You! by Doreen Cronin

This is a cute book about a festive little duck who beautifully decorates the farm in preparation for the farm’s Valentine’s Day dance. A little fox wants to come and scares all of the animals but little duck happily lets Fox join the festivities. It is short, sweet and you will love the pretty glitter accents on the pages throughout the book!

Happy Valentine’s Day, Mouse by Laura Numeroff

This is an adorable classic board book of Mouse having fun creating special Valentine’s Day cards for all of this friends. I love that each Valentine he makes matches the personality of each of his friends. The words are short on each page so it’s able to capture the attention span of toddlers. The illustrations are cute too.

Mouse and Mole: Secret Valentine by Wong Herbert Yee

The Mouse and Mole book series are well written. The books are lengthy and may only be right for older toddlers or preschool children, but my three year old daughter is able to listen to this story without getting bored. The story is really sweet. Mouse and Mole are best friends but Mole and Mouse also like each other. They make Valentine’s Day cards together and Mouse tries to figure out who her mystery Valentine’s card is from. It is from Mole and in the end they dance together at the dance. It is funny too and just all around cute story that shows what love is too, which is an important aspect of life.

Also, the adorable crocheted lamb stuffed animal was a gift for the girls for Christmas. My in-laws got it from the Seattle Airport, but here is a similar looking lamb stuffed animal. Mila has a bunny and the lamb is Mackenzie’s toy. It would make a cute present for your toddler for Valentine’s Day. They both absolutely love them!

I hope you enjoyed these Valentine’s Books for toddlers and found some new stories to read to your children for Valentine’s Day! If you are interested in Children’s books, in this post I talk about great books for a 12 month old.
