As of January 10th, Mila is one year old! It’s crazy to think a year ago I was in labor giving birth to our precious little girl and through the nursing, diaper changes, sleepless nights, tummy time, rolling, crawling, and now walking our daughter has grown up so much and so have we! Being parents has been an amazing experience and I am glad we have entered this forever commitment to love and nurture our sweet daughter, I love being a mama and wouldn’t have it any other way! I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family, an amazing husband and the sweetest little girl! I am so thankful for these two and look forward to forever watching Mila grow each day, as she learns and develops!

Unfortunately, Mila was sick on her birthday. We have all been sick with a cold. A week before we celebrated with family by throwing her a combined first birthday party with her cousin. Her actual birthday was very low key. We just hung out at home, decorated the house, made her a cake and had her eat her favorite foods, and of course played and did whatever she wanted to do. 🙂 We tried our best to make the day as special as we could for her.

I had a special dress for her to wear, but I wanted her to be comfortable so she just wore comfy clothes. We also didn’t do a smash cake for her since she was sick. I made her a gluten free vanilla cake with natural cocoa frosting with dark chocolate flower on top and we gave her a small slice of it. She enjoyed it! Also since she received lots of gifts from her birthday party and Christmas, we just gave her one small gift to open. It was a gift of small barking dogs that fit in a little dog house. She picked it out while we were gathering stuff for her special day. 🙂

Here are photos from the day. We love you Mila Anna, thank you for choosing us as your parents. You are so sweet, smart, and fun! We love you forever and are always here for you!
